Aims

The aim of this course is to provide students with a good understanding of concepts and methods
of linear algebra, develop their ability to solve problems using linear algebra. Moreover, it is also
intended to develop abstract and critical reasoning by studying logical proofs and the axiomatic
method as applied to linear algebra.

Learning Objectives & Outcomes

Knowledge and understanding of mathematics necessary to support application of key engineering
principles. (US2i)
Knowledge and understanding of mathematical principles necessary to underpin their education in
their engineering discipline and to enable them to apply mathematical methods, tools and notations
proficiently in the analysis and solution of engineering problems. (US2)
