Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Samiul Jahan and I am writing this letter as part of my application for the Job Application
at your company TARGOBANK AG & Co. From stepstone.de I have come to known that you have an
open position for Praktikant (m / w) Internet und Mobilesbanking. I am interested for the position as
I have to do a Pflichtpraktikum as part of my masters studies.

In this letter, I will attempt to outline my professional goals and aspirations as well as the reasoning
behind choosing this company and this position and how I envisage this will help me in achieving my
goals.

I have always wanted to work on technology especially internet tech and from that desire I studied
bachelor of engineering in Computer Science. After the graduation, I started working in web
development. After working for more than five years, I decided to further my knowledge of
Computer Science and came to Germany. I am now doing masters in Global Software Development
at Fulda University of Applied Sciences. As part of my studies I have to do a mandatory internship at
a German company which I have to start after my second semester.

My last company had clients from Germany who were big names in the pharmaceuticals industry.
So, I am well aware of the German work culture and etiquettes and I like that and that is why when I
decided to go for higher studies, I chose Germany without hesitation. Now, I am looking forward to
work with German colleagues and learn more about the work culture here.

I have strong motivation to work on software development especially in internet technologies as

well as programming, analytical and IT skills that I gathered from my Bachelor studies and
professional experience. I used to participate in programming contests at my university and
nationally as well. My team once became champion at my university programming contest. I was the
team leader of our team. I was also a member of the software lab at my university.

I have knowledge on basic German conversation which is up to A1.1 level and currently taking more
German courses. I also have intention to take intensive courses and continue learning German at
least up to B2 level. In addition to this, I am fluent in English and have an IELTS band score of 7.0.

I will be very happy to take the opportunity to work on the organization. My earliest possible
starting date is April 2018 as an intern. My expected salary is as per your company policy.

I am an outgoing, approachable person who always strives to help others. I proved my leadership
and communication skills at my workplace and this was recognized by the senior leadership of my
last company who gave me the responsibility of supervising two young programmers. I used to write
their performance reviews, set goals, objectives and arrange trainings for them.

I also worked in London for four months for my company where I was the key developer of the
project I was working at that time. I also attended meetings with clients and maintained liaison with
the Bangladesh and the UK development teams of our company. My colleagues included British,
German, French, American, Austrian nationalities which gave me a wonderful opportunity to work in
a team of people with different cultural backgrounds.
As you can see, I am highly motivated and determined to pursue my career goal and I would be
