# CALIBRATION PROCEDURE P.C.: 01-800-021 ° FANEM INFANT INCUBATOR C186-TS/TS Page 01 of 02 1) Procedure ‘or Pre-Calibration 1. Conus. te vollieter negative test prod in the PCG point and with the positive test prod alternate in the poirts PC1, PC2, PC3, PC4 @ PCS to adjust the correspondent trimpot's as indicated on the ‘chart bellow: Measurement Point Trimpot to be adjust Value in volts POI TPS 2,18 Pca TP4 261 PCS TP2 264 PG4 TPS 1.97 PCS TP 2.59 Obs.: Trimpot's adjust by the voltage level no guarantee the calibration. 1) Calibration Procedure For this calibration the eletronie circuit should be on by 10 minutes (minimum) to warraty the comaonents temperature stabilization 4. Connect the Test Simulator C186 (CALIBR.021) in the patient sensor (lateral panel of box) for the model C186TS/TS. 2. Soloct a tomperatura of 25,0°C. in the simulator. Read the temperature in the skin temperature display n degree Celsius. Adjust the trimpot TP4, if necessary for the display indicate 25,0°C, 3. Select a temperature of 361°C In the simulator and aujusl, if necessary the timpot TPS fer display indicate the value of 36,1°C. Tomporature Chart Simulator Temperature (°C) | 25,0 | 340 | 39,0 | 42,0 | 36.1 Display Temperature (°C) 250 | 340 | 38,8 | 41.3 | 36,1 Obs.: Maximum variation permited for indication at display in relation to simulator < ‘measured after the incubator air temperature stabilization In 34, 2°C Ill) Thermostat Calibration of High Temperature 1. Connect the Tests Simulator Plug C186 (CALIBR. 021) corresponding to the thermostat output in the connector B4 of the plate 092.255.000 peed in the simulator the value ‘lea 38, or. Turn off in the panel the adjust condition even 38,0°C for ar LED fees orveton \ REVISION: 02/04 ELABORATED BY: | VERIFI rp Re i LOE WA Pas C CALIBRATION PROCEDURE INFANT INCUBATOR C186-TS/TS P.C.: 01-800-021 Page o2of02 | Hpramew" 3. Adjust the trimpot TP2 even the high temperature alarm performance. Turn the trimpot to turn off ang return the adjust slowly even the alarm performance. 4, Select in the simulator the value of 39,0°C. Turn on the adjust condition even 39,0°C to air mode or 38,0°C to skin morte (LED lighted yellow), 6. Adjuet the trimpot TP1 even the high temperature alarm performance. Turn the trimpot to turn aff and return the adjust slowly even the alarm perfomance. IV) Memory Verification and Power Failure Select a adust temperature for any value, except 34,0%C and 36,0°C, disconnect the eletric network cable, the audio-visual alarm of Power Fallure should actuate after an pause of 3 minutes, conriest again the cable to eletric network. the Power Fallure alarm should stop and the temperature value before selected should be memorized. Alarm Calibration of Circulation Failure 1. C186-T8/TS panel should be assembled on the incubator. ‘Adjust the air temperature to 36,0°C and wait temperature stabilization for 30 minutes (minimum). Desinhibit alarms pressing "Inhibit Sound" and "Skin Mode" simultaneously. First unfasten the “Inhibit Sound’ . All the alarms wil be desinhibited. CObstruct the entrance or output ventilation duct at the Incubator tray. 5. Chronomet imediately the time after the obstruction After 80 seconds, adjust the trimpot TPS to alarm performance of Circulation Failure. Circulation Failure of the alarm performance should actuals between 15 to 20 seconds after the failure passed OBS: After these adjust, should be realized an Circulation Failure alarm verification and it necessary calibrate it. Vl) Final Checking of Temperature When the Incubator is control the air temperature is 36,0°C and after temperature stabilization, calibrate the timpot TP4 and TPS following te steps 1, 2 e 8 of leinperature calibration (tem I) Atter calibrated trimpots TP4 and TPS, place Patient Sensor jn the malirasss cri In 10,0 cm of it height ‘After the temperature stabilization, measure the air temperature value of Incubator and skin temperature value. Maximum Variations of 0,5 °C are permitted OBS: For a final temperature checking, is important thal Incubalur Le on it final configuration with or without double wall REVISION: 02/04 DATE: 05/31/04
