Aim/Lesson Topic:
Warm up: Picture comparison practice- ss describe and compare two pictures of different fantasy
(First 15) places
Listening Focus. To revise and expand vocabulary to describe places-
Tch asks ss to focus on the picture of a monastery and choose the adjectives they could use
to describe it. Then, she elicits other adjectives ss know that could be used to describe
places.
Tch asks ss to read the dictionary entry and then plays a recording about the imaginary
place Shangri- La. Ss share their opinions about the place and other imaginary places they
know, and then discuss what an ideal paradise should include. Later, theyll discuss the
ideas gathered in the form of a collaborative task.

Ss read all the questions and underline the key words and expressions, then they listen to the
recording twice and choose the correct option, in ex 5 theyll discuss the hints in the
recording that correspond to the key words underlined before.
