Introduction: Study habits can be good ones, or bad ones. Good study habits include being
organized, keeping good notes, reading your textbook, listening in class, and working every day.
Bad study habits include skipping class, not doing your work, watching TV or playing video
games instead of studying, and losing your work. And dealing with new and sometimes
unfamiliar lessons, numerous projects and deadlines, adjusting in a new environment and taking
on a different and new culture contribute to low marks in some of their subjects. If not remedied,
the students would lose their motivation to work on their weaknesses such as being too
dependent on other people and their teachers for information
Statement of the Problem: This study will be conducted to evaluate the effective study habits of
students: an excellent model.1What profile of the respondents in terms of:age,sex,course.2What
characteristics define the students in terms of:Study habit; Attitudes towards studies;Home
resources3What do the students prefer on their studying habits Visual; Auditory4 What factors
affect the Environment of the students: Lightning; Air Quality; Furniture and Equipment, 5What

Significance of the Study: This study is going to be significant to the following: students,
administrators professors, school, parents.
Research Methodology: This study used descriptive method of research as it aimed to determine
the effective study habits of psba students.
Statistical Treatment of Data: The gathered data were analyzed using frequency, percentages,
means, ranking, and multiple regression analysis.
Conclusions : Based on the findings arrived at, the following conclusions are hereby
given:2The characteristics of the PSBA students while having their study sessions , are most of
them remain focus in their study progress using an online program, notebook and other resources
.3With regards to the learning style visual learning method is more often used by the students
than the auditory learning method.4They all want and have good indirect lighting, a not too cold
not too warm air temperature and clean, organize and relevant equipment for their study
session.5In terms of how the respondents set their goal during the study session, most of them
prefer to base upon some certain amount of works to be done that to base upon some amount of
time. Most of them planned their study session ahead of time and they stick to their schedule and
lessen the distractions during the study session. 5In terms of the impact of the extracurricular
activities to their academic performance, there is no bad relationship between their academic
performance and extracurricular activities. They balance it well and keep being active
participants to it.
Recommendations: 1Students regardless of age, sex and course must make the most of each
study session and shall have the goal to achieve in terms of their studies.2Students must start
with the most difficult subject in which it will greatly improve the effectiveness of study
sessions, and academic performance.3Students must have a planner that can help keep
everything organized and write down assignments, appointments, and to-do lists.4Students must
be in a place where there is a good lightning on their front of their study place. We recommend
students to be placed where they are comfortable and there is a good temperature.5We
recommend students to have working in groups that can help when struggling to understand a
concept. Students mush have its goal and direction in studying. They shall need to know exactly
what the need to accomplish during each study session. 6Students must make a Weekly
Schedule. Once a week block out time on a more detailed level for important commitments and
deadlines that need to meet. And must make a Daily To-Do List. At the end of each day organize
and schedule the next day. Include routines, errands, and study time.
