Play It Forward raises $45,000 for school

The Fond Blanc Foundation held its third annual Play It Forward for Haiti event on Sunday,
at Keva Sports Center. Despite the heat, we had a great turn out for our Play It Forward for
Haiti event! said Tia Bunz (pictured, top left), one of the events organizers and founders. We
had over 200 people attend, that brought in over $45,000 that will all go directly toward the 400
students that attend the school in Fond Blanc, Haiti.
This year we will be able to purchase uniforms, school books and pay our certified teachers
for grades pre k-grade 11. This amount will also help us to continue our goal of creating a schol-
arship fund for the students post high school opportunities and education, she continued. With
Bucky Badger, Mike Heller and many athletes from the UW, those that attended were able to
enjoy a dunk tank to cool off, cotton candy, many games and inflatables, a photo booth and nu-
merous other fun activities! All the while making a tremendous difference in these childrens
lives.
Bunz added, We want to thank all that sponsored the event, provided items for the silent auc-
tion and attended the event - your presence here in Middleton makes such an impact on these
children so far away.

The Middleton Performing Arts Center hosted a special concert on Saturday, Sept. 23. One Night in
Memphis: Presley, Perkins, Lewis & Cash is a musical tribute to a singular night in rock and roll history
that took place back on December 4, 1956, and it turned into a special night in 2017 as well. The music
