introduce you to the history, equipment, proper
techniques, and safety considerations for SUP.

SUP are a go anywhere water craft suitable for lakes, marshes,
lazy rivers, ocean coasts, and the dynamic surf zone. Get

Beginner Sailing
Learn the basics of sailing from US Sailing Certified
Instructors and feel comfortable on the water. The
two-day program will include a two-hour Friday
evening instructional session. Sunday morning will be
spent sailing in the Charleston Harbor.
Basic Sailing Level I
Learn basic nomenclature and rigging/derigging skills as well as
safety skills. The basics of tacking, jibbing, and docking will be
covered for dinghy sailing.
Biking
Bike Maintenance and Repair
Need a tune-up? Join us as we learn some general maintenance
techniques and tips. Get step-by-step instructions for repairing
common problems while on the road/trail and learn the necessary
supplies and tools you should have with you on your ride. Bring
your own bike or use one of ours for this session of bike repairs.

College Day
Climbing is a fun way to get into shape and meet new people. It
is also a great social activity. Students will receive a free harness
rental and shoe rental with the regular price of admission and a
valid student ID. No pre-registration required.
Introduction to Climbing
Learn the basics of rock climbing and belaying
from our experienced staff. We offer courses and
instruction for all ability levels.
Introduction to Belaying
This 3-hour class will teach you the fundamentals of belaying.
You’ll learn about knots, harnesses, and belaying as well as
climbing. Upon completion, participants will be prepared to
take a belay test upon their next visit to the Climbing Wall.

Our course is located in a wooded area of James Island County
Park. It is a very effective tool for addressing group issues such
as trust, effective communication, teamwork, and problem
solving.
