Hastelloy C-276 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy that is resistant to corrosion.

Alloy C276 is suitable for many chemical process applications. Hastelloy C-276 has
superior resistance to localized corrosion as well as oxidizing. Hastelloy C276 has
excellent resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking.
Hastelloy C276 Round Bar has properties as below :-

1. Excellent corrosion resistance in reducing environments.

2. One of few materials to withstand the corrosive effects of wet chlorine gas, hypo-
chloride and chlorine dioxide.

3. High nickel and molybdenum contents providing good corrosion resistance in

reducing environments.

4. Low carbon content which minimizes grain-boundary carbide precipitation during

welding to maintain resistance to corrosion in heat-affected zones of welded
joints.

5. Exceptional resistance to strong solutions of oxidizing salts, such as ferric and

cupric chlorides.

Resistance to localized corrosion such as pitting and stress-corrosion cracking.
