Disadvantages of Caste Based Reservations.

.
What will happen to a country, where the candidate scoring 6 % marks in the qualifying examination
is becoming teacher, beating 66 % and compromising the many students that will study under
him/her? Qualifying marks for an entrance test is less than half for some as compared to others.
Students scoring zero, getting admission in professional colleges. That means just sit in the exam
and the rest would be taken care of.
Regardless of the income of the family in some cases, special advantages are given to the special
section of people tagged as backward by the Indian government on the basis of caste. Lower
School / College fees, which is added into the fees of other students to balance out. Reserving seats
and taking the admission of student having lower marks, just for the sake of filling quota.
It is clutches to perfectly abled people, making them dependent on something they dont need.
Is this system really doing what it was meant to be, or is this have taken the place of a drug to which
people are now addicted to?
Reserved Word Itself means compromise on quality when it is applied to the fields where only the
best should be getting the chance. The Definition of backward is mixed with caste, is it necessary
that a person from backward caste is poor and depressed in society and is it really worth to sacrifice
the talent for making that person a part of such a facility that he will not be able to contribute into,
leaving the ones who would have been able to.
Backward is a person living in rural areas compared to the one living in urban, a landless labour as
compared to landed peasantry, an unskilled labour to skilled labour, person with no capital to one
having commanding sufficient capital, a person who believes in magic superstition and fate as
compared to one who belief in science and understanding. An illiterate as compared to a literate
person.
In any of the above comparisons it cant be said that the person who is backward is from upper-
caste or lower.
Age, Percentage, chances, and many other relaxations are foolish and would not seem realistic for
someone who is not used to it. What will someone expect from a lifeguard who doesnt know how to
swim, and intelligence officer who just barely passed the IQ test, a doctor appointed because there
was seats left of the quota? How safe would you feel travelling over a bridge made by an unskilled
engineer?
The Reservation system is being used as a revenge system, as well as a strategy of collecting
votes. Revenge for the deeds this generation hasnt done.
Imagine Reservation in Defence and Sports. Admitting those of lower capability just for the sake of
policies, crafting a future filled of defeats and failures.
The same thing is happening with India as well, it may be not so evident from outside, from inside
eating up everything.
