How to access OS5 X32 RAID data on OS5 X64 system

Concept:
A. Make a JBOD or RAID volume as a mount point, assemble old version RAID volume to
mount.
B. It is allow user backup NAS share folder data via SAMBA or FTP, but iSCSI been encrypted
that unable to access & backup.
C. The OS5 X64 NAS should have one tray more than the disk number of the old X32 array.
For example, a four-disk X32 array should use a five-tray X64 NAS. The extra tray is used
to build a JBOD as a mount point for the old array.
D. Prepare a healthy spare disk for making a JBOD array in the OS5 X64 NAS.
E. It is recommend use following or newer OS5 X64 FW

F. Via BACKUP -> RAID ROAMING to assemble RAID from OS5 X32HDDs.
G. Supported NAS models to do RAID Data Roaming:
OS5 x64 family: N2800, N4800 series, N5550, N7510, N7700PROv2, N7710 series,
N4510U series, N8800PROv2, N8810 series
OS5 x32 family: N4100PRO, N4200 series, XXX series, N5500, N7700v1 series, 1U4500,

OS6 x32 family: N2310, N2520, N2560, N4310, N4520, N4560
H. If old RAID HDD abnormal or going damage soon, it is strong recommend clone to
new health first.

How to access OS5 X32 RAID data on OS5 X64 system

Steps:

1. Put a healthy spare disk in the NAS to create a JBOD or RAID volume as a mount point.

2. Access to NAS share folder, if NAS IP is 172.16.67.4, please type \\172.16.67.4 on you file
manager address bar.

3. Hot-plug old RAID HDDs into NAS, and confirm each HDD is health from HDD SMART info.

4. Check HDDs from old RAID HDD, shoose IMPORT TO RAID and MOUNT

5. Olde RAID data been mount under Raid_Roaming folder, please backup data as soon as
possible.
