The Constitution of The Land of the Komoanan

Preamble
We the advancement of the great Deius Zeiamphonoe, promise to establish true equality.
To promise a life full of unity, dignity, and selflessness. To honor bravery, maintain dignity, and
insure freedom for all mer of the Eekorech. To be cordial will each other and be welcoming to
any non natives in order to have civil peace. To promote the common good and encourage
personal beliefs. To not prosecute those for beliefs. We, the people of Eekorehc, in order to live
in peaceful posterity, do ordain to this Constitution.

Constitution
Article 1 T he Venerable Branch
Section 1
All Venerable powers shall be vested in the most high respected of the community. This shall
consist of the chief and other elderly affiliates. To qualify for a contributing role in this sector, a
mer must have lived a certain amount of years, in which they grew knowledgeable and became
decidedly wise. The sector holds 28 mer that are 145 or older.
Section 2
This sector creates laws for the tribe. In order for a law to pass, it must be meticulously prepared,
edited and then unanimously agreed upon.
Section 3
The elders act as consultants for the chief, who makes decisions about many the caretaking tasks
that need to be done in the tribe. This includes tending to the farming unit and keeping track of
the creation and upkeep structures.

Article 2 The Arbitration Branch


Section 1
The Arbitration consists of mer that have grown after maturity. This means that the members
must have reached the age of 85. Its made up two courts: the senior and the junior tribunals.
There are 14 members in the senior tribunal, while there are 12 for the junior; they are are not
always present. The senior judicature must have 8 years of experience on the junior tribunal.
Section 2
This sector uses the laws that The Venerable create to make decisions about whether any given
mer should be punished for something that was reported, and how harshly they should be
punished.
Section 3
The junior tribunal is where less advanced members work. They work on cases that involve
disputes between the mer that they cannot solve themselves. These include: stealing, fraud,
adultery and trespassing. The seniors take cases dealing with more dire matters: murder, rape and
the interference of one's freedom.

Article 3 The Newly-Shrewd Branch


Section 1
This sector of the Eekorehc government is known as The Newly-Shrewd. It consists of mer who
have hit the age of basic maturity, which means they are 15 years old or older.
Section 2
The three parts of The Newly-Shrewd sector are the first-line, the army, and the ground crew.
The first-line of defence for the tribe is the most important position, because they are the first to
see outside threats and take action upon them. The army becomes involved, when the outside
threat is of an intensity that the first-line of defence cant handle. The ground crew typically
stays in the tribes borders and keeps the peace in the land, like Americas police.

Article 4 Amending the Constitution


Section 1
To amend this constitution a unanimous vote held by the Eekorehc will take place. If information
on a personal ballot is leaked to the public it will result in an immediate cancellation of all votes,
this will cause the voting process to be redone. Freedom of speech and opinion are one of the
many rights that have always been exercised in the Eekorehc community, but Government
affiliated information should not be exposed to the public.
Section 2
In the amending process of the constitution the majority vote will rule. After the constitution is
presented and voted upon by the mer, it is then sent to be processed and over read by the new
leaders in government.
Section 3
If the representative or mer see there should be any changes or modifications to the Constitution,
a council meeting will be held. In the council meeting the leader of each sector, the chief, and the
representatives of each branch will be present. After they have came up to the revisions they
think will be best it will be presented among the mer community and votes upon, in this case and
all other cases majority vote will rule.

Article 5 Appointments, Leaders, and Terms


Section 1
Each leader in the Eekorech tribe is chosen the same way. They are voted for after campaigning
to become one of the leaders. It is often the members of the tribe that have done well in the
position before or the family members of those who have done well that are chosen.
Section 2
The sector known as the Venerable is under the leadership of a chief, who is in charge of many
responsibilities involving the upkeep of the village. The Arbitrary leader is called the head
magistrate. He or she may work in the junior or senior tribunals as they see fit. Chief of
constabulary is the name of the person at the head of the Newly-Shrewd sector.
Section 3
All tribe leaders have different amounts of time in office at a time, but can serve up to 10 terms
each.

Article 6 Rules & Principles


Section 1
All mers are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to the equal
prosecution of the law. In this respect, the mer of the Land of Koamana shall not:
I. Steal
II. Rape
III. Kill
IV. Cheat
V. Trespass
VI. Forge
VII. Riot
VIII. Challenge to fight
IX. Interfere with freedom of speech or movement
X. Restrict access to the representatives and chiefs
Section 2
The principles are used to govern the personal behavior and beliefs of the mer. The system of
principles include the SPICES:
I. Simplicity
II. Peace
III. Integrity
IV. Community
V. Equality
VI. Stewardship

Significance and Purpose:


The Constitution was originally created to establish the basic rights of all the mer is The
Land of Komoana and create a base for The Komoanan Government. It also created a superior
layer of government and describes the roles of the government's Venerable, Newly-Shrewd, and
Arbitration branches . The Constitution will be successful in allowing individuals of different
sexes, tail colors, and factors to live together peaceful. The only instance in which this may fail
would be due to failure of the mer to respect the Constitution and laws. The Constitution
provides justice for those that have been discriminated in the tribe by other mers. Without the
constitution there will be a storm of unjust punishment that will sweep the tribe.
