CONCEPT PAPER FOR THE INSTALLATION OF CCTV SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM

IN BANKAL NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

I. INTRODUCTION

At this present times, security is no trifling issue. At first you thought you were safe in your
own home or even at school, think again.

Seemingly, Bankal National High School is considered as one of the largest schools in the
Division of Lapu-Lapu. In fact, it currently implements shifting classes to cater the basic
necessities, like enough classrooms and teachers, of its ongoing student population. Due to this
condition, it is difficult for the institution to keep an eye and guard the safety of every student.

Furthermore, it is not uncommon to everyone that the cases of bullying, extortion, or even
illegal drug cases within the school premises is gradually inflating. Besides, everyone or if not,
most of all knows the subsequent problems caused by such issues one of these is the disruption of
physical and mental aspects of the student, which will also boil down to the safety of everyone.

Accordingly, this paper is ought to propose an Installation Project of CCTV Surveillance


System in Bankal. Inasmuch as, the project would be of great help mainly to keep the condition of
institution secured. It will be also a great tool in addressing not just for the awareness of the school
but for the community as well. If applicable, this project must be implemented in a timely manner
for the welfare and safety of each student, teachers and all staffs of Bankal National High School.

II. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

The paper assumes that the installation of CCTV Surveillance System in Bankal National High
School has the following objectives:

1. To prevent the increasing crime such as bullying, extortion, drug cases and other violence
2. To avert minor school offenses such as graffiti, improper wastes disposal, dress codes or
prescribed uniform, cutting classes
3. To deter theft, opportunist malpractice or any suspicious activity, and lastly;
4. To aid fire detection and safety
III. METHODOLOGY & TIMELINE

1. Forward, approval and issuance of budget (7 days)

2. Setting an agreement or bidding with the contractor of the surveillance system (2 weeks)
Contractors are expected to forward or submit their respective bid for CCTV installation together
with the planned canvass.

3. Setting a meeting with the faculty and the GPTA officers for choosing a contractor who will
take the full responsibility in the whole installation process (1 day). This day will also be the
official announcement of the selected contractor for the knowledge of the majority.

5. Installation of CCTV under the supervision of the principal (3 months)

6. Inauguration of the school's CCTV (1 day)

IV. BENEFITS OR ANTICIPATED OUTCOMES

The installation of the CCTV Surveillance System at school will be helpful to students,
teachers and other staff inside and even the community.

The risk posed by crimes such as bullying, extortion, theft, drug cases and other forms of
violence that are baleful to the school will be addressed and can be prevented ahead of time. The
aforementioned proposal will also be useful in maintaining cleanliness and order of the school.
Also, anyone whom desired to visit can be monitored 24/7, either outsiders or valued visitors.

More importantly, it would be of huge help for the community where the school resides,
Bankal, Lapu-Lapu City, in acknowledging possible cases that will link to social issues, including
crime and illegal drugs.

Above all, parents and guardian in particular will surely be at ease upon knowing that the
school their child are sent into has been secured and safe.
