UNGA MRSM BETONG 2017

RULES AND REGULATIONS


GENERAL ASSEMBLY
VENUE: Main Meeting Room
1. Secretary General (speaker of the house) will chair the assembly. [CARLOS FIGO as
chair]
2. The delegates from each country will arrive to the meeting in the countys traditional
clothes.
3. Each country will have THREE REPRESENTATIVES to sit at the assigned seat.
1. Speaker
2. Flag bearer
3. Placard bearer

4. Speaker will be given 5 7 minutes to speak on one of the issues below:


Health issues
Environmental issues
Sex education
Human trafficking
Child labour
Fresh water supply
Pre-marital sex
Other issues related to the country
The speech MUST include how the issue affect the country & the countrys proposal
to solve the issue.
5 minutes Q & A session will take place after the speech.
EACH REPRESENTATIVE of the other country MUST ASK at least ONE QUESTION to
the speaker.
5. After the speech and Q & A, Secretary General will call for delegates
(representatives) to assign marks as below:

Satisfactory 1
Good 2
Excellent 3

Runner will collect the ballot slips and Secretary General will call the next speaker to
present. The process is repeated until all countries have presented.

6. If it is tie, SG will decide the winner based on the advisement from UNGA advisor.
7. At the end of the session SG will summarize everything and finally call for the session
to be adjourned.
BOOTH
VENUE: Class
1. The following items must be included in the booth:

1 flag
2 map
3 national language
4 national costume (original or adaptation),
5 traditional cuisine
6 traditional show/ performance
7 information about the county (capital city, religion, area, population,
currency, time zone, calling code etc) information can be found on
wikipedia or similar sites
- Printed and shown in the class
8 other interesting information

2. Students assigned to the booth must be able to answer questions from the teachers/
staffs in English.
