1.2 Fee Categories And Time Of Effectiveness

This fee table applies to all countries except USA and Canada. GLOBALG.A.P. fees are defined according to the
following fee categories:
Producer Registration Fees ( Chapter 2)
Producer Registration Fees apply to each individual producer (also to each producer group member) per scope
or sub-scope of the scheme for each certification cycle. These fees are invoiced to the company registering the
producer in the GLOBALG.A.P. Database (data trustee). If a producer works with multiple Certification Bodies,
only one company can act as the producers data trustee and will therefore be invoiced all Producer Registration
Fees for this producer.
Certificate License Fees (Chapter 3)
Certificate License Fees apply per issued certificate (not per producer group member in Option 2 and 4)
for each certification cycle. These fees are invoiced to the Certification Body issuing the certificate.
Certification Body License Fees ( Chapter 4)
Certification Body License Fees are paid for the general license to carry out certification activities within
the GLOBALG.A.P. framework and are paid by the Certification Body on an annual basis.
Certification Body Training Fees ( Chapter 5)
These fees cover the costs for training requirements to qualify Certification Body inspectors and auditors
151218_General-GG-Fee-Table_2016_V3_en.doc

for GLOBALG.A.P. Certification.

Farm Assurer Fees ( Chapter 6)
Farm Assurer Fees are paid for an annual general license by companies to operate as a GLOBALG.A.P.
licensed Farm Assurer. Farm Assurer Consultant Fees are paid by approved Farm Assurer consultants.
Bookmarking Fees ( Chapter 7)
GLOBALG.A.P. Bookmarking is a service to facilitate the use of the GLOBALG.A.P. Database and to
ensure easy verification of supplier certificate validity. The Bookmarking functions include the favourite
list of supplying companies via the GGN (GLOBALG.A.P. Number) and is available on the web and via
an XML/SOAP interface.
GRASP Assessment Fees ( Chapter 8)
GRASP Assessment Fees apply to each GRASP assessment that is carried out on an annual basis.
These fees are invoiced to the Certification Body with the upload of the assessment checklist.

Publication date: 18 December 2015
Page: 3 of 14
localg.a.p. Fees ( Chapter 9)
Localg.a.p. Registration Fees apply to individual producers and producer groups, and are paid on an
annual basis. Assessment License Fees apply to each issued assessment report or letter of
conformity. These fees are invoiced to the localg.a.p. inspection body (Certification Body, Verification
Body or Farm Assurer) who is responsible for collecting it from their producers once each calendar year
according to the product cycle.
Voluntary Membership Fees ( Chapter 10)
GLOBALG.A.P. members benefit in many ways: they contribute to the governance of GLOBALG.A.P.,
participate in standard setting and decision making processes, and provide input for the benchmarking
approval process. In addition to these active participatory rights, GLOBALG.A.P. members profit from a
range of special promotional services and training/event discounts.
Benchmarking Fees ( Chapter 11)
Owners of Good Agricultural Practice (G.A.P.) standards worldwide can seek to demonstrate
equivalence with GLOBALG.A.P. through an independent benchmarking process. The benchmarking
fees are service fees covering the application and approval procedure guided by the GLOBALG.A.P.
Secretariat.
Workshop Fees ( Chapter 12)
GLOBALG.A.P. Workshops fees are paid by each participant or in the case of a private workshop, by the
company or organization.

1.3 Other Definitions

Covered/Non-Covered Crop
Covered crop is primarily intended to mean Produced in a greenhouse. A crop is considered covered when it is
grown beneath or within a structure - with or without building foundations - where the cropping environment has
some kind of overhead protection (not including individual plant/tree covers, nets, low tunnels, hail protection,
mulches or anything that is not a greenhouse) during the production of that crop. The cover can be made of
plastic, glass or other similar materials, and must be accessible by persons (walk-in possible). Any farm can have
part of its crop covered and another part not covered, but this must be declared separately at registration,
detailing the sum of the respective areas (covered or not covered) according to the definition above.
Any other form of production is considered Non-covered-crop.

Certification Options:
Option 1 - Individual Producer,
Option 2 - Producer Group,
Option 3 - Individual Producer under equivalent or resembling scheme,
Option 4 Producer Group under equivalent or resembling scheme.
