ABSTRACT

Nowadays, motor vehicles are the completion to our daily life which can ease our journey. In
student lifestyle, motor vehicles become a need. UTHM students which using the motor
vehicles are always in problem with their maintenance cost of motor vehicles. The big money
spending will be burdensome for them to handle. This survey also shows the awareness of
ownership of motor vehicles and how they could handle the maintenance cost. The main
purpose of this survey is to determine if the maintenance could be the main problem in their
ownership of motor vehicles. We used online survey to distribute our questionnaire to get the
data. We have got 30 respondents to answer all our questions. To distribute the
questionnaires, online survey is our option to do so. The high cost on foods and necessities
that are chosen by the respondents give a great meaning that least of the maintenance cost
occurred. Furthermore, the solutions made by the respondents to handle crisis on the money
spending absolutely good enough because most of them are independent to put aside their
money in order to pay off the maintenance cost. By the results of our questionnaire, we can
analyse that the maintenance cost of motor vehicles are not the main problem of UTHM
students. One of three objectives did not achieved because of some reasons. The effectiveness
of our survey distributions could be improved by making more methods such as interviewing
and making observations.
