a first semester student nursing student at Midwestern State University.

As a student, I
believe education is one of the means through which a person can have an impact on
the society and as such I zealously jump at opportunities that will help me achieve my
goal of becoming a Pediatric Nurse.

My love for children made me work for Star of Hope in the summer of 2015. My main
responsibility was to provide a warm presence to homeless children. Even though I did
other administrative activities, I enjoyed being with the children. I assisted them to play
with all sort of toys, fed them and provided them with whatever they needed.
I also babysit for friends on the weekends whenever they are too busy.

Currently, I pay all my bills with loans therefore awarding me with this scholarship will
reduce the amount of loan I take each semester. I am counting on your kindest
consideration.
