SKENARIO
Ny.
makin lama makin berat.
meminum obat. Pasien didiagnosis DM Tipe II sejak 2 tahun yang lalu. Pasien
diresepkan obat Metformin (2x500mg), Amlodipine (1x10mg) serta Vit B12 (1x1)
oleh dokter.
Indeks massa tubuh Ny. T yaitu 28,07 kg/m2yang artinya Ny. T termasuk
dalam katagori Obesitas I. Tekanan darah pasien 160/90 mmHg yang artinya Ny. T
memiliki penyakit Hipertensi Grade II . Pemeriksaan fisik general lainnya dalam
batas normal.

PICO
P : Ny. T, 50 tahun, DM tipe II, Mual
I : Metformin dua kali sehari
C : Kombinasi Metformin dan Linagliptin satu kali sehari
O : Mual berkurang

Critical Appraisal for Therapy Article

VALIDITAS
1.a. Was the assignment of patients to treatments randomised?
Answer: Yes

1.b. Were the groups similar at the start of the trial?

Answer: Yes
2.a. Aside from the allocated treatment, were groups treated equally?
Answer: Yes

2.b. Were all patients who entered the trial accounted for? and were they
analysed in the groups to which they were randomised?
Answer: Yes
3. Were measures objective or were the patients and clinicians kept blind to
which treatment was being received?
Answer: Yes

HASIL
1. How large was the treatment effect?

a. Experimental event rate (EER) = a/(a+b)

= 17/(298)
= 0,057
b. Control event rate (CER) = c/(c+d)
= 24/(341)
= 0,070
c. Relative Risk (RR) = EER/CER
= 0,057/0,070
= 0,814
An RR of 1 means that there is no difference between the two groups
thus, the treatment had no effect. An RR < 1 means that the treatment
decreases the risk of the outcome. An RR > 1 means that the treatment
increased the risk of the outcome.

2. How precise was the estimate of the treatment effect?
