To whom it may concern,

It is indeed a pleasure to write this letter to sing the praises of Alyssa Young. Ive known Alyssa for 3.5
years as a student in my Integrated Coordinated Science class, as well as my Chemistry class. In that time
Ive found her to be an outstanding and extremely focused student, as well as being one of the most
honest and forthright people I know. Alyssas success can be attributed to her strong work ethic and
tenacity. She has maintained at least a 3.914 GPA 3 years running. Alyssa is a member in good standing
as well as a youth leader with the St. Marks Church. She is also a member of our school ASB leadership
class. In addition to her academic success, Alyssa is very involved in her community; she helped
coordinate and participated in her 9th grade class community works project, where they helped to feed
the homeless. Alyssa has served in a paid and/or voluntary capacity in many of the organizations within
the community. She has worked at both the Los Angeles Natural History Museum, as well as the Expo
Center. Combine that information with the fact that Alyssa is also a member of the Track team and the
Soccer team, its quite evident how much of a hard worker and how motivated she is.

Clearly Alyssa has displayed the kind of drive and energy needed to be an effective addition to any
institution of higher learning. I applaud you for considering her, and I thank you for this opportunity to
praise her.

Sincerely,
