Executive Meeting, attended by directors and officers, is held periodically.
The Board of Corporate Auditors consists of three auditors, two of whom are external
appointees. Auditors participate in Board of Directors meetings and other important
meetings and monitor the directors in the performance of their duties to improve
management transparency.
Risk Management
A companys business activities involve latent risks that may make the continuation of
business impossible. Risk management is very important and is indispensable to the
ongoing business activities of a company.
Until last year, we used a risk map to manage risk. In fiscal 2006, the Risk
Management Committee drew up a risk registration book in which risks are ranked in
accordance with the potential loss amount and the probability of occurrence in order to
provide an overview of such risks to the heads of the various risk management
sections. This risk registration book is now used to prioritize risks and manage risks
more effectively.
Innovation
Our fleet includes specialized concrete pavers, earth moving scraper fleet, excavators,
cranes, rock trucks and slip-form equipment. Our plant network consists of several
fixed and portable asphalt plants and two processing and recycling operations. We
manage a network of portable concrete and asphalt plants that allow us to offer
customized and continuous on-site service, wherever our customers projects may be
located across the country.
Quality Control
ACCW Quality Control Department has taken an innovative approach to quality
management, where services are provided on an integrated basis across two functional
areas. The Engineering group (Quality Control Administrators) ensures compliance
with our internal quality management system throughout the project lifecycle. The
Technical group leads through innovative designs in asphalt and Portland cement
concrete mixtures and rigorous process control methodologies. This integration results
in a superior quality product and service mix offered to our customers.
Sustainable Development
Our commitment to Sustainable Development is illustrated across every aspect of our
operations: from employing the best construction practices and building materials, and
continuous monitoring of our environmental performance, to recycling and reducing
the disposal of rubble (concrete and asphalt) in landfills, and adhering to world class
standards in providing a safe and a healthy work environment for our employees.
ACCW industry leading recycling technologies allow us to turn asphalt and concrete
rubble coming from construction projects into recycled granular products that extend
the life of our natural resources, and provide our customers with a wide range of
dependable and economical green" alternatives to primary aggregates.
We also partner with customers and project owners to develop onsite "green" recycling
solutions for disposal and recycling of rubble resulting from the rehabilitation and
redevelopment of existing structures.
Environmental Management
ACCW is committed to sustainable development, to responsible stewardship of the
natural environment and to the protection of human health. The Company recognizes
the environmental implications of its activities as well as its responsibility to conserve
clean air, pure water, land and natural resources while optimizing the use of
technology and pursuing the achievement of economic objectives.

Destruction and reduction of natural environment, noise and vibration at urban area,
soil contamination, water pollution. In the 21st century, human being faces thousands
of environmental problems. Acquisition of technology for conservation and restoration
of environment will become the social needs. The company works on a role of
development and progress of eco-technology - restoration of ecosystem and greening,
purification of polluted rivers and lakes, curbing construction waste.
GEOFIBER is the answer for boring concrete surface and its structural disadvantage.
Core technology of GEOFIBER, the continuous fibre reinforced soil, gives pseudo
cohesion, erosion resistance, permeability and increases residual strain to the sandy
material with multi filament fibre. Together with soil nailing and surface vegetation,
it gives a perfect protection to the rock face and a plant growth base. GEOFIBER will
be the most advantageous method for the next century for conservation and restoration
of natural environment.

Diagnosis and Investigation for Concrete Structure
Pipe renewal system is a method for fully upgrading the old drainage system with
minimum cost and space. It follows old drainage structure, and upgrade the drainage
at once as soon as the area is drilled. Temporary drainage system allows continuous
flow without any interruption.
Pipe Renewal System is a convenient method for upgrading drainage system not only
for the limited urban space but also for economic way to rehabilitate infrastructure.
Social infrastructure will become superannuated after a couple decades. The structures
constructed under the period of high economic growth have exceeded their expected
life. Degradation and erosion of these structures has become a social problem. It is
expected that Japanese policy will move toward maintenance and renovation phase
rather than building new infrastructure. ACCW technology for maintenance and
renovation is based on high technology for foundation. With its research and
development for new technology and utilizing our experience, ACCW contributes for
the healthy function of infrastructure in use.
RECYCLING
Lifestyle based on mass production, mass consumption, and mass disposal is over.
Recent public focuses on recycling society with a low impact on the environment and
reuse and/or reduce resources and energy. Therefore, ACCW is active on creation of
technology for reduction of environmental burdens by minimizing the production of
industrial wastes. For the realization of zero emission society, methods of not only low
cost for but also low impact on environment are under development.
Reuse of Waste
Huge amount of construction waste is produced at the project site of land reclamation
and development. Reuse of construction waste material is essential for minimizing the
environmental burdens. Construction wastes such as soil, mud and dredge soil are
processed to physically stable material by adding chemical admixture. For
solidification, dehydration, and contamination cleanup, the system will provide
required treatments at the project site.

basis.
3. Designing and proposing structures that coexist with nature with a longer life,
resource savings and energy conservation in mind
We will set environmental targets, review the results and continuously improve our
efforts
2. Management Review
AGM Construction & Civil Works Limited carries out all its research and development
in line with the company's basic principle - "To contribute to the development of a
flourishing environment that enables harmony between people and nature" - and in response
to the demands of society, that technology should aid conservation and reduce burden on the
environment. In particular, pre-stressed concrete (PC) technology, with its outstanding
resource saving properties and durability, is useful not just in bridge construction, but also
building construction and underground works. We aim to be a construction company with the
special characteristic of having this PC at our core.
1. Conservation Effect
The concrete columns and beams, floors and walls that make up the frameworks
of buildings are manufactured in factories, and because of this pre-casting
(prefabrication) of building parts, it is possible to greatly reduce the amount of
waste material generated at these construction sites compared to older sites
At our company, we used silica fume cement as a binding agent for high strength
concrete in cement, and developed the DUCSS Beam Method.
1. Conservation Effect
The DUCSS Beam Method uses silica fume cement, and the water cement ratio
is low at less than 20%. This means it has outstanding neutral resistance,
resistance to freezing and melting, and resistance to chloride ion penetration. It
consequently has excellent durability and allows structures a much longer
lifespan.

Antennae must be set up to facilitate the use of cellular phones. While in urban areas
antennae can be set on the roofs of high buildings, in rural areas where there are no
high buildings it is necessary to build 30 m-high towers on which to place antennae.
In the past, steel pipes were used to build such towers. We have developed pre-stressed
concrete towers (duck poles), which are made of ultra-intensity fibre-reinforced
mortar. Duck poles parts are manufactured separately and assembled on site to be
erected as towers. Duck poles provide durable, aesthetic and cost-effective antenna
towers.

Environmental safety
1. Duck poles last for more than 100 years without maintenance because they are made
of ultra-intensity fibre-reinforced mortar, which is both salt and frost-resistant.
2. Duck poles are slimmer than steel towers because of the strength of the material used,
enabling them to blend in more with the scenery.
