DESIGN CONCEPT STATEMENT

As the population continues to grow and environmental concerns move increasingly to the forefront of
public knowledge, more and more communities are looking for spaces that are both interactive and
sustainable. The concept of the propose Community center is interaction design, a complex system,
processes, architectures and cultural satisfaction focusing on the individuals and their continuous co-
evolution with the place that they populate.

The proposed community center also perceives the needs and requirement of the community delivering
life-changing programs and services. And encouraging facilities and amenities. It welcomes all ages and
sex having a positive impact in the community. As it caters all age ranges, from children prams and push
chairs to ambulant disabled adults and wheelchair users; locations of bus stops, walking distances from
residential areas, provision of disabled parking are considered. Also, the center proposes only one storey
structure for lifts and chair lifts are expensive to install and maintain, also prone to abuse. The building
itself is easy for the staff to manage as the layout and circulation routes were clear and legible.
