TORQUE CONTROLLER

The PDL Rod Torque Controller (RTC) offers an advanced form of Pump
Off Controller without the need for a load cell or other costly hardware.
The torque demand of the pump is constantly monitored on every
stroke and with this data the optimum pump speed is determined.
Two independent set points adjust the speed of the pump for changing
inflow characteristics, and monitor for gaslock, instantly reacting to
eliminate fluid pound. Production is maximised, maintenance costs
are reduced and significant energy savings can be achieved.
The greatest benefits can be achieved on wells that have changing
conditions or wells that have low fluid production.
Matches the pump speed to the oil produced by the formation.

CYCLE CONTROL

PDLs revolutionary Regen Cycle Control (RCC) controls

the regenerated energy produced by the Rod Pumps
reciprocating motion, eliminating the need for dynamic
brake resistors or an active front end. Excess energy is
stored during regeneration and absorbed during motoring.
This reduces costs, and saves energy. Up to 30% energy
savings have been achieved compared with units fitted
with dynamic brakes.
