 Periventricular Nodular Heterotopia = PVNH
What is PVNH?
is a disorder consisting of the migra-
tion of the neurons in the brain
which fail to migrate appropriately
during early development, resulting
in the formation of nodular brain
tissue lining the ventricles.
How do you get it?
Females most commonly
Attached to X-linked
chromosome
males who do contract
PVNH tend to die in
utero due to the lack of a
2nd X chromosome like
females do.
