Implementation Plan for next 5 years:

The implementation plan for the next 5 years includes the following
sub topics:

1) Training (both technical and pedagogy)

2) Post graduation
3) Lab development
4) Research on education technology

Elaborating on the above mentioned sub topics as follows:

1) Training would like to impart training to the teachers of

Polytechnics and Degree colleges starting from a fundamental
level of understanding the pros and cons of each individual
trainee and identifying the strength and weaknesses of each of
them and working towards enhancing the plus points and
minimizing the minus points in an endeavor to improve the level
and quality of education with a holistic and systems approach on
the same. The training would not only emphasize on the technical
contents but also on improving the pedagogical aspects of the
trainee that is not only on what to teach but also on How to
teach.
Would also endeavor towards training on the up gradation of the
existing method of organizing and sequencing of the teaching
materials in the most scientific and logical manner so that the
teachers can implement the same in their respective institutes
after their training in order to achieve maximum impact on the
students which will enhance the quality of the education as a
whole. Would emphasize on training based on audio visual
demonstration using models and/or graphics or imagery in order
to achieve long lasting imprints on the minds of the students in
understanding a difficult or complicated concept and last but not
 the least, would strive towards setting up a platform for
technology based education and e-learning to achieve maximum
penetration of technical education to the grass root level.

2) Post Graduation as regards post graduate trainees are

concerned, would like to emphasize on innovation and pioneering
ideas rather than just extending on previous research papers in
an aim to inculcate critical thinking amongst them, to think out of
the box and come up with novel ideas that are relevant in shaping
a better future for the humanity as a whole.
Would also attempt to ingrain the spirit of teaching in the PG
trainees who might have the potential to become an educator in
the future and exposing them to the arena of e-learning in order
to maximize the effect desired.

3) Lab Development have a lot of plans as regards lab

development is concerned like starting up a hydraulics lab which
is nonexistent at the moment with all the latest equipments
required to perform the experiments that are necessary to
elucidate the basic and advanced principles of hydraulics to the
trainees. To upgrade the existing lab facilities by replacing the old
and obsolete equipments with the latest state of the art
technology to provide the best experimenting facilities to the
trainees with the desired level of accuracy. In addition to the
hydraulics lab, would also strive towards setting up a lab for
testing composite materials, which is absolutely necessary and is
the call of the current construction practices scenario.
