BASIC ELECTRONICS FOR NON ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS (with MATLAB and Simulink Exercises)

Basic Electronics has been established as an

interesting and worth studying Classical Subject by
most Engineers and Applied Scientists. On the
other hand, most of the devices we use every day
have part, or the whole of their operation based on
electronics. It is considered therefore useful for as
many people as possible to gain knowledge on the
fundamentals of this subject. This would help them
BASIC
in handling their devices at home and/or at work
more efficiently and safely. This book aims to help
in these directions and particularly those working
ELECTRONICS
in Bioscience.
The book is divided in two parts. Part I deals
with the fundamentals of applied electronics,
FOR NON
Analog and Digital, in a rather concise and general
form and is considered to be useful to any non
Electrical and particularly non Electronic Engineer,
ELECTRICAL
such as Mechanical Engineers, Computer
Scientists, Physicists, Chemical Engineers and
Bio-scientists, students and graduates. Part II
deals with basic applications of electronics to
ENGINEERS
measurements of physical quantities, interesting (with MATLAB and
mainly to Bio-scientists. The reader will be helped
to comprehend the material by following the
Simulink Exercises)
numerical examples and solving the problems.
Use of MATLAB and Simulink programs is
encouraged and for this reason, also relevant
examples and exercises are included. An
introduction to MATLAB programming has been T. Deliyannis, K. Giannakopoulos
included in Appendix D.
