practice with their vocabulary, while
also using context clues to figure out
the correct answer. The students
would be able to go up to the
interactive whiteboard and click on
the answer of their choice, to see
whether or not they are correct.
IXL https://www.ixl.com/math/grade-2/even-or-odd The activity has a number of shapes
on the screen, and gives the
students the ability to use the
interactive whiteboard to click on
whether they think the amount is
even or odd.
Math Playground http://www.mathplayground.com/multiples.html This activity helps students practice
multiples of whole numbers two
through twelve. The students move
the ghost from side to side in order
to catch pumpkins with the multiples
of the chosen number. The students
will avoid catching the pumpkins
that are not multiples of the chosen
number.
Sheppard Software http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/web_games.htm After going to the link, click on the
Play! button located under the
Capitals-3 tab. This activity allows
students to show off their
knowledge of the United States
Capitals. When a state is highlighted,
students will be directed to use the
interactive whiteboard to click on
the corresponding capital of that
state.
BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/skillswise/topic/punctuation After clicking on the link, under the
Games and videos tab, click on the
Beat the clock apostrophes game
link. The students will be able to
practice their skills with using
apostrophes to make contractions.
The students will use the keyboard
on the interactive whiteboard to
type in their answers.
Funbrain https://www.funbrain.com/games/spellaroo The students will practice simple
grammar skills in this activity. A
sentence will be presented on the
interactive whiteboard, and the
student will be expected to click on
the word that is either misspelled or
used incorrectly.
 Free Rice http://freerice.com/#/multiplication-table/17524 This activity allows students to
practice their multiplication
tables. The students simply go
up to the interactive whiteboard
and click on the answer that
they think is correct. For every
correct answer, 10 grains of rice
are donated to the United
Nations World Food Program to
help reach Zero Hunger.
Constitution Facts https://www.constitutionfacts.com/index.cfm?page=quiz.cfm This activity allows students to
learn about the Constitution.
The students would go up to the
interactive whiteboard and click
on the answer they think is
correct. If the student misses the
question, an explanation will be
provided for further information.
A Touch of Class http://sciencenetlinks.com/interactives/class.html The activity allows students to
identify certain aspects of living
things. The students get points
for the answers they choose
correctly. The students lose
points for answers that were
correct that they did not choose
and answers they chose that are
incorrect. This activity is
modeled similarly to a game
show, which will engage
students.
AAA Math http://www.aaastudy.com/fra-mul-mixed.htm#section2 This activity allows students to
practice their skills with
multiplying mixed numbers. The
students can use the interactive
whiteboard keyboard to type in
their answers. The students will
then check their answers for
accuracy.
