PROGRAM OUTCOMES:

A graduate of the BSBA major in Business Management program must attain:


1. Equip the students with knowledge of the principles and concepts of management such as
planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling.
2. Communicate effectively in both oral and written English.
3. Demonstrate competence in the use of information technology.
4. Display professional skills that will prepare students for immediate employment and for life-long
learning in the areas of management and functional areas of business (marketing, accounting,
finance, human resource management, product and operation management and information
technology).
5. Guide the students in organizing or managing entrepreneurial activities if they decide to be self-
employed.
6. Prepare the students to pursue a teaching career or graduate studies in business.
7. Adhere to the values of integrity, professionalism, teamwork, transparency, accountability and
social responsibility in the practice of their profession.

Course Description
The aim of this course is to provide students with a broad overview of the basic concepts in strategic management.
Students are exposed to a number of frameworks and models to better understand and analyze the macro-environment, and firm
level resources. The end goal is for the students to be able to think strategically, as opposed to only having a functional orientation,
and to formulate and to implement creative and innovative strategies that are conducive to the demands of the firm and the
environment in which it resides. Together with Management Consultancy, this course serves as an integrative course to be taken in
the last term/semester

Course Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, the learner will be able to:


Learn to work efficiently and effectively as a team player in a competitive business situation
Apply all the relevant tools learned in this and other business courses in order to make informed management
decisions
Develop the ability to formulate, implement and control an overall strategic plan for a company, covering all
aspects of its corporation.
