The Influence of Giving Therapeutic Ice Massage And Stretching To Reduce Pain In
Patients Low Back Pain Miogenik In Rsud Solok Year 2017

ABSTRACT
Low back myogenic pain is a pain around the lower back caused by
musculoskeletal disorders or abnormalities of the thoracic vertebrae 12 to below the hip.
This study aims to see the effect of giving ice massage and stretching to reduce pain in
low back pain miogenic patients in RSUD Solok Year 2017.
This research type is quasi experiment (quasi experiment) with method of pretest
and posttest. This research was conducted at RSU Solok Physiotherapy Unit. Sampling
technique using Purposive Sampling with samples in this study amounted to 10
respondents.
The results of this study indicate that the average pain before and after the
intervention of ice massage and stretching changes. Statistical analysis of this study using
Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test test obtained results p = 0.004 (p <0.05) which means there
is a significant change in the provision of ice massage and stretching to decrease pain in
low back pain miogenic.
It can be concluded that from the results of the above study there is a decrease in
the level of pain in respondents so that the provision of ice massage and stretching in
patients with low back pain miogenik can be used as a method to overcome cases of low
back pain miogenic.
