Each parish community donates funds to pay for the lay personnel providing local
ministries. These donations are made through the weekly collection and/or electronic
contributions the faithful make as a part of our Lords Day worship.
A small percentage of the Sunday collection funds the ministries at the Diocese and
those of the United States Conference of Bishops.
As we know from the financial reports in this church bulletin, our weekly contributions
at Mass average out to cover our weekly budget of $22,000. Five times that is $110,000.
So, if we each pledge to the ACA five times our weekly offering well more than reach
our goal!
The mercy (that is: the loving kindness, the forgiveness, the generosity) that God gives
you and me knows no bounds. Gods mercy is limitless. I pray that our response to the
Annual Catholic Appeal be motivated by Gods own mercy.
