Summary Kindergarten Lesson Plan After reading the book “The Crayon Box that Talked” by Shane DeRolf, students will choose a blank crayon to color and to write their name on it. Afier they are done, they will put it ‘together on the back of the room to create a big Crayon Box. This will teach the children that contributing with everyone’s individuality; one can create a beautiful bigger picture. Students: Students should tell you thé good things about each of their favorite color Teacher, After that, ask them what is their least favorite color and why. Students Students should tel] you bad things about their least favorite colors. Teacher Tell them that there is no such thing as an ugly color and everyone has a different favorite color because each COl6F is unique. Show them the worksheet with the comparing images. Ask them to raise their hand whoever likes picture number one with just one color. And then show them the picture number two with many colors. Teacher: Tell everyone that you will be reading them a story of silly crayons that dislike each other just for their color. After they are done coloring their blank crayon and writing their name on it, have students get up from their seat and line up next to the blue board in the back of the room to place their colored crayon to create a crayon box. Students Students should bring their colored crayon with their name on it to put it together in the blue board. Teacher. After everyone made a line give them a piece of tape to put their colored crayon inside the crayon box. Before they place their colored crayon, ask them to share with the class why they choose whatever color they choose. After they have place their colored crayon tell them to have a seat. Students: Students should express their taught about the color they choose. They should be listening to everyone’s opinions. Teacher: Tell students to pick up their crayons after they are done placing their crayon in the blue board.
