CHAPTER 3: METHODOLOGY

Research Design

This study is concern to see how social media come into the everyday lives of
different students and how can they handle the positive and negative effects when
engaging into this. The data will be gathered and it will be reviewed again by
average. Two instruments will be used in order to come up with an absolute result.
That will be questionnaires and on the spot interviews with selected students.
Furthermore, the data collection methods used in the study will be discussed and
will be arranged in average.

Research Locale

This study will be conducted in the school where the researchers are
assigned in their field study. This will be in the school of Comtech Institute of
Isabela located at Valderosa Street, Isabela City, Basilan.

Sample or the Respondents

The respondents of the study will be students from different Grade 11

sections of Comtech Institute of Isabela, Basilan who are taking up the course of
Information, Commucations and Technology.
Research Instrument

The researchers will use two instruments for this study; an oral interview and
a questionnaire. On the spot interview will be conducted to selected students from
the school of concern. The second instrument will be questionnaire and it will be
implemented in different sections of Comtech Institute, Valderosa Street, Isabela
City, Basilan.

Data Collection Procedure

The methods that will be used in this research study is random because
questionnaires will be used which will be distributed personally by the researchers
and at the same time it will also be purposive because we will be conducting an on
the spot interviews to selected students from the school of concern.

Data Analysis

When collecting of data from the students is done, the results will be
organized in average. The data will also be analyzed so that we can use it to draw
some conclusion for our research study.
