Summary
"From the torment of the Hundred Years' War, the charismatic Joan of Arc carved a
victory that defined France. Bernard Shaw's classic play depicts a woman with all
the instinct, zeal and transforming power of a revolutionary."
Cast
My notes
Gemma Arterton is always enjoyable. See the other example here in this file
group for The Duchess of Malfi for the Globe Theatre Live at the Sam Wanamaker
Theatre which is lit for the period only in candlelight for each performance.
Here with Saint Joan there's a more modern approach. There is no onscreen display
of the end as is common with the Joan story.
It's worth noting that there is a similarity to the NTLive production of Salome
by Yael Farber and that can be found at my name at the top as well in the full
list. Sait Joan is a recode of an existing torrent smaller size for easier access.
