-PTRE-301-1
-Capillary pressure
-Equipments :
1-Seal of red oil : 2-Graduated cylinder :
2- We adjust the pressure regulator and we give the chamber the pressure
difference . ( the pressure in the chamber increases step by step forcing
the gas In the chamber to displace the water from the sample through the
plate ) .
3- After few days , pressure ceases and the core is removed from the cell .
-Calculations :
-Surface tension = 70 dynes/ cm
-r = (2 g w)/ Pc

-Advantages and disadvantages :
1- Advantages :
- Very accurate.
- Can use reservoir fluids and can convert obtained data to reservoir
conditions.
2-Disadvantages :
- Slow, that is a full curve needs around 40 days or more to be
completed.
