THE EFFECTS OF THE WOMENS MOVEMENT

Womens movement or generally known as feminist movement is collection of

movements and ideologies that share a common goal: to define, establish, and achieve
equal political, economic, cultural, personal, and social rights for women. This includes
seeking to establish equal opportunities for women in education and employment. The
idea of feminism began in the western world in the late 19 th century . Historically,
feminism has evolved from the critical examination of inequality between the sexes to a
more nuanced focus on the social and performative constructions of gender and sexuality.
Unstoppable growth of feminism all over the world somehow give major influence
toward nowadays womans way of thinking. Relying to their beliefs of gender equality,
womens are now way more independent mentally and physically. Mans role as the main
supporter are no longer needed - for those extremist feminism believer. Apart from the
fact whether the woman are feminist or not, the common ground idea of feminism itself
already became quiet influential to woman all over the world. Theyre upgrading their
way of thinking to be more opinionated, independent, rational, and critical, contrasted
with old-conventional rules where woman were used to be second wheel on the society.
Looking back to the years when women were often being stereotyped as a regular
housewives for family who only expected to take care of them, nothing less or more, that
isnt trending anymore for new-age woman in this era. Womens are now able to take in
charge or lead as the man of the family when shes capable to handle the financial matter.
Their opinions and voices are being heard yet valued by the opposite gender because
somehow women nowadays are educated and allowed to experience higher education
level since feminism was on the run. Generally , everything are now accessible for
woman and opportunities are limitless. But that is actually one thing that is causing
behaviour and courtesy confusion on nowadays womens attitude. Feminism made
women appear to be more masculine for some reasons and sort of losing the essences by
being proper lady-like, just like the conventional womens should behave in the past.

There are uncountable growing numbers of highly educated womens on the society
which caused by the womens movement decades ago. Potential development for women
is benefecial to upgrading their skill and abilities to compete on the social circle or
workplace. It has been causing a healthy competition between woman and men at
workplace. Men isnt longer the bull of the field to lead the company, because woman has
the same capabilities as man so both of them have fairshare of opportunities. Men
validations of womens presents as their competitor is one prove of the womens
movement advantage.
As in fact, an educated woman are now the main target for millions company out
there. Many sucessfull womens pioneer already make a statement on their career and
show the world that their gender could make it on the top of the chain, too and thats
somehow making whole lots of opportunities being opened for any potential woman who
wanted to achieve the same goal. Women arent the typical walking-coffee brewer
anymore, because they are already proven capable to do other skillfull things than that.

Marriage is also one area who also being impacted by the feminism. Normally,
marriage are being lead by the husband who has a role as the backbone of the family,
meanwhile women is the maid of the unity. Well, Nowadays marriage seemed already isnt
as traditional as it used to. Couple rigid marriage traditions has been changed due to
womens movement, now it seemed more flexible for both parties. Woman still gets to
have their own lives even though theyre being tied in a marriage as in given the
opportunities as a career woman which could helps the financial circulation in the family.
Although essentially woman are expected to fully nurture their children, but exchanging
roles could be preceeded with their husband, it really depends on the familys rules and
deals. The same thing also works with home chores responsibilities, mens also get their
portions to take care of households. Typically young couple are the one who started this
kind of new marriage culture, but still the main force triggered from the womens
movement which is fundamentally changed womens attitude on marriage which lead to
re-evolutionized the whole idea of conventional marriage.
