1. Valuation:
After the capture of General Emiliio Aguinaldo at Palanan, Isabel in 1901, the
Filipino-American War ended as fas as the United States and Filipino elites were
concerned. But to the Filipino masses, who looked upon their war against the
Americans as a continuing struggle for independence, the resistance lasted longer.
This is an evidence of how Filipinos resent the colonizers for taking over the land
instead of letting us govern our own country. However, this also entails the Filipinos
need for independence.
2. Generalization
The need of independence by the Filipinos is evident in their continuing struggle
against our foreign colonizers. Our history is filled with events that match our struggle
for freedom. This should be relevant to our present circumstances today, especially
in the rise of a new government headed by a fierce leader. May the lesson serve as
a guiding principle to us Filipinos if we are to be enslaved again by such foreign
colonizers.

C. Assessment/Evaluation
Pair Work

Choose a topic that best reflects our circumstances today and provide a solution to this
by interviewing from your place a public servant in the government whom you think has the best
stand towards the issue.

D. Assignment:

Starting with the most interesting quote youve learned from our philosophers, interview
at least two (2) teachers and one(1) student in Saint Columban College to solicit their
ideas on such matter and how they can connect this to our society today. A selfie with
the correspondent is required. Write their answers on a long bond paper along with their
selfie pictures on a separate sheet.
