Connect to MAGNET Enterprise

Select Connect
Select the Enterprise tab
Enter login credentials
Select Connect

*An active internet connection is required to connect to MAGNET Enterprise

Select MAGNET Enterprise Project

Select a project from the Connect to project drop-down menu
Or select the button to the right of it to create a new project
Connect to GNSS - Base Receiver
Select the General tab
Select the Base radio button under GPS Device Type
Select Connect
Connect to GNSS - Bluetooth Search
Select the base receiver's serial number from the list of Bluetooth devices found
Choose Select
Select Connect

Connect to Robotic
Select Connect
Choose the Optical radio button and confirm GT BT configuration
Select Connect
Connect to Robotic - Bluetooth Search
Select the robotic instrument's serial number from the list of Bluetooth devices found
Choose Select
Select Connect

Setup GNSS Equipment

Start Base Station

Set the base up over a known point using a tripod and set level
Select Setup|Start Base

Define Base Location

Select or enter the point for base location
o Select map icon to pick point from map
o Select page icon to pick point from a list
Enter the antenna height
Select Start Base
Switch GNSS Connection to Rover Receiver
Select Yes to switch GNSS Bluetooth connection to rover recevier

Establish Rover Connection

 Select Connect to initiate Bluetooth search
Choose the rover receivers serial number
Choose Select to connect to intiate Bluetooth pairing
Select Connect on next screen when prompted for PIN

Setup Robotic Equipment

Backsight Setup

Select Home button to return to main menu

Select the Hybrid Switch icon in the top bar to switch from GNSS to Optical
Select Setup >> Backsight
Occupation Location
Backsight: Requires two known points (or one known point and a known direction)

Input backsight data

o Point number/name
o Instrument height
o Backsight point (or direction)
o Prism height
Select Next
Set/Check Backsight Orientation
Aim instrument to center of prism
Press Set
Backsight Check Results
Results screen will show errors
Select home button to return to main menu

Access Job Menu

Select Job >> New Job

Name New Job

Give the job a Name
Enter name or initials (optional)
Enter any job comments (optional)
Select Next
Select Equipment Configuration
Confirm proper configurations are active, or Select from Library
Checkmark Hybrid Positioning
Select Next
Configure Coordinate System
This exercise is going to use a projection and geoid for the coordinate system.

To add a projection to the drop down select "..." button

Under the pre-defined window navigate to the desired projection and select
Select the down-arrow button to move the selected projection to the Active window
Select green checkmark button to return to previous screen
Choose the projection from the drop down
Choose the desired datum

Configure Geoid
Select "..." button to add a geoid model to the drop down list
Select Add
Choose the format for the geoid file
Select Browse to navigate to the geoid files
Choose the desired geoid file and select green checkmark button three times (3x)
Select the added geoid model from the drop down list
Select Next
Configure Job Units
Choose desired units and precisions for various data types
Select Next

Display Options
 Select desired Coord Type to display
Choose desired Coord Order to display
Select green checkmark button to save configuration and open the created job
