- With this lesson all students are responding to varying
demands the students as an audience to the teacher reading
the book out loud they have to repeat what the teacher is
reading and this helps them with having a task to do and
the purpose is for them to be able to recite a book

With this lesson they use communication and collaboration
because as a class the students are reciting a book that is at their
level of comprehension.

smaller lesson with flashcards that show all the different animals
that are presented in the book.

Differentiated Instruction
Special Needs: Put them in smaller groups when students are
doing a different project and have them listen to the story a
couple times in the smaller groups

Accelerated (Gifted/Talented): have these students give a


chance for other students to get to know the animals at their
own pace, and also have these gifted students a chance to
explore other books with different kinds of animals to see if
they can identify what they are

Assessments you will use during your lesson to check for student learning: one
informal assessment that I would give them is have them read or
try to read the story to me and see how many words they can read
from the book.

Delivery them to learn about the topic?)
- first we will talk about what kinds of animals the students
already know of which will mostly likely be pets the most
common like cats, dogs, bunnies, hamsters or fishes. From
there we can discuss different animals that they might see
in the book.

teachers will read the story aloud to students, have them
talk about different kinds of animals that they know of
students will sing along to the story book and actively
participate when reading the story aloud

students will be able to make observations and show a
certain number using little blocks.

number with them. and help them demonstrate the amount
using small blocks have examples for them and even help
them out when they are attempting the process

Accelerated (Gifted/Talented): for the gifted we could have


them start grouping the blocks in different ways to see how
many way that they can make that certain number
