The Last Supper

(Luke 22:738, Mark 14:1226, Matthew 26:1730,

John 13 and 14)

Jesus had asked Peter and John to prepare the Passover meal
for them to eat. At the meal, He told His twelve disciples, I have
eagerly wanted to eat this Passover meal with you before I suffer.
I wont eat it again until the purpose of the Passover has been
fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
Jesus took the cup of wine, gave thanks, and said, Take this,
divide it among yourselves. I wont drink wine again until the
kingdom of God comes.
Jesus gave thanks for the bread, and then broke it to give to the
disciples. This is My body which is given for you. I ask for you to do
this in memory of Me.
After supper, He took the cup and said, This cup is the new
testament in My blood which is shed for you.
Later that evening, the Devil moved Judas Iscariot to betray
Jesus. Jesus, knowing that the Father had put Him in charge of
everything and that He had come from God, knew that the time was
approaching for Him to return to God.
