consulting engineering services for the subject Request for Qualifications (RFQ}.

Since 1962 lfland Engineers has been providing civil and structural engineering services to the
communities of the Monterey Bay region. During that time we have completed numerous projects
including roadways, utilities, accessibility improvements, site design, bank stabilization, and municipal
staff augmentation services. The enclosed package of information showcases a select few of these
for your review. Time and time again we have demonstrated the ability to provide our services on
time and within the owner's budget.

All work will be performed from our office in Santa Cruz.

As President, I will personally execute any agreements and amendments with the City.

arts. This phased project converted the 8.3 acre site to include: an 8,000 square-foot plaza/sculpture
garden, 100 units of affordable live-work lofts for artists, 28 rental studios, a digital media center, arts-
organization office space, a caf, a performing arts theater and a pathway connecting the arts center to the
City of Santa Cruz via the San Lorenzo River pedestrian/bike path. Cost: Unknown

Ifland Engineers provided two alternative intersection and signal re-design plan sets
along with striping plans of the existing intersection at Soquel Avenue and Capitola
Road that provided significant safety improvements for pedestrians and bicyclists.
Included was the conversion of the existing free right turn travel lane to a bike and
pedestrian only lane and the design of a new right turn lane including the removal and
reconstruction of curb and gutter improvements, drainage inlets and accessible
crosswalks through the intersection. Cost: unknown.

lfland Engineers is experienced with Low Impact Development solutions to complex stormwater
management challenges.

A few of the sustainable-development strategies used by lfland Engineers, Inc. include:

Using pervious "hardscape" materials
Preserving wetlands (when present)
Providing strict erosion control measures; pre- and
post-construction
