research explained that although the glaukomatous eye pressure is normal, the IOP is not the
same on both eyes and the worst defect is on the eye with higher IOP. Collaborative Normal
Tension Glaucoma Study (CNTGS) found that discharge IOP will at least 30% diminishing the
progressivity of eyesight from 35% to 12%, confirmed that IOP is clearly related to this desease.

Eyesight defect in NTG usually more focal, deeper and closer with fixation, especially on
early stage of the disease, compared with usually seen in POAG. Other several symptoms like
optic disc bleeding, depletion f neuro retinal rim especially on inferior and inferotemporal
quadrant also usually found in NTG than POAG.

Anterior eye chamber evaluation

To evaluate the depth of anterior eye chamber, can use slit lamp with 60o angle, to
measure the distance between iris and posterior cornea known with Van Herick Method.
