Culminating task - Cellphilms

Students will be asked to produce a cellphilms (video on a cellphone) focusing on one of the five
broad topics covered over the 6 weeks. Students may focus on specific sub-topics as appropriate.
This video may take many forms: a personal journal, self-reflection, criticism, roleplay,
slideshow, etc. Students will be asked to work in groups to produce a script, story board, and the
final product. With approval of the teacher, a student may work individually and/or ask that their
work be evaluated without presentation to the whole class. Students will be evaluated against a
rubric agreed on by the class by consensus. The teacher will mandate the success criteria:

The student(s) will have demonstrated thoughtful reflection and critical thinking on the topic of
human sexuality by taking a position (thesis) on a topic and supporting their position with well-
researched facts.

For the purpose of the culminating task, class notes may be included in the student(s) research.

This proposal is in compliance with the guidelines established in the Quebec Education Program
(QEP) and the framework for Sex Education outlined by the MEES.
