Re: Suspension of Classes and Work in Government

In view of the transport strike and as advised by the Office of the

President through the Office of the Executive Secretary, all are informed
that CLASSES AT ALL LEVELS, IN BOTH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE,
AND WORK IN GOVERNMENT, NATIONWIDE, are still suspended
tomorrow, Tuesday, October 17, 2017.1

It is understood, however, that agencies whose functions involve

maintenance of peace and order, traffic enforcement, disaster and risk
reduction management, health and sanitation, Central Bicol Station
Operation, Naga City Abattoir Operation, solid waste management
services and/or the performance of other vital public services shall
continue with their operations and render the necessary services.

The suspension of Work in private companies is left to the sound

discretion of their respective heads.
