that was established by authorities such as Board of Engineer. A code of professional conduct
is an essential aspect to any profession to keep standards to the individuals within that career
to stick. It brings approximately responsibility, obligation and trust to the peoples that career
serve. Through the code of conduct, expert engineers have an obviously defined obligation to
the public, with is to respect the duty to open wellbeing as principal, over their obligations to
consumers or superiors. Their obligation toward employers involves performing as reliable
operator or trustees, viewing customer data as classified and maintaining a strategic distance
from or revealing irreconcilable situations. Their obligation to the consumers way that expert
engineer have to reveal right away any straight or oblique interest that may preference their
expert perception. One of the code that are listed in the code of professional conduct that
established by Board of Engineer Malaysia is a registered engineer cannot be a medium of
payment made on his customers side unless except he is asked to accomplish that by means
of his customer nor shall he, in connection with work on which he is hired, place contracts or
orders unless with the authority of and on side of his customer.

Expert engineers who are worker engineers and who self-employed or carry out
professional engineering for customers aside from their employers ought give their customers

In recent times, there are a ton of ethical issues arise. Some of them are corruption,
extortion, bribery, conflict of interest and unfair conduct. These issues influence the general
public, as well as the nation. The brought on lives and advancement of the nation. All these
issues can be done by anyone including engineers. Engineer, especially a newcomer to these
engineering field, can be project his/herself as a professional engineer who is responsible to
refrain himself from making any ethical issues. All engineers must be sincere to themselves in
their profession (Singh and Pandey, 2010). Although no one saw what we have done at work,
but Allah sees and He knows everything that happens in the whole of His creation. The salaries
that we get will not receive the blessings of God if we do the ethical problems during the work.
God require us on Muslims to make a living and eat food from halal source. As mention in
Surah Al-Baqarah verse 168, O mankind! Eat of that which is lawful and good on the earth,
and do not follow the footsteps of Shaitan (Satan); because he is to you an open enemy. Also
mention in Surah An-Nahl verse 114, So eat of the lawful and good which Allah has provided
for you. And be grateful for the Graces of Allah, if it is He whom you worship. If we not being
honest to ourselves, these ethical issues cannot be control. If each people is sincere towards
their profession, then all these ethical problems inevitably reduce. Engineers need to focus
towards their expert responsibility for example, how lots they are devoted and honest towards
their own career.

In the nutshell, to be a responsible professional engineer, we should obey and follow

the code that are listed in the code of professional conduct that was established by the authority
such as Board of Engineer. Then, we as engineer must know the different between bribery and
gift. Next, we also should avoiding ourselves from doing the ethical problems during work.
Professional engineer are needed in our country so that our country development become
better. Engineers are the issues solver who do research for quicker, excellent, more affordable
approaches to meet the extreme difficulties (Kader, n.d).
