3. Project Brief The land for this stadium is available approximately
19.50 acres. This area is 15 acres more than the
original proposal.
Cost of project is Rs.374.723 million. The scheme is
required to be revised by incorporation of above
changes.

7. Goals and Objectives In order to provide sports facilities in Sheikhupura
Government of Punjab has decided to give them
Astroturf Stadium facility in a Hockey Stadium at
Sheikhupura.
 The aim was to improve skills & talent of
Hockey players & athletes to obtain qualitative
performance at National & International Levels. The
facility will also provide opportunities to hold
National & International Sports events.

10. Project benefits and analysis;
Financial The project does not provide any direct financial
benefits as it is a social sector investment.
Social benefits with indicators This project will uplift the Sheikhupura City and the
adjoining areas. With reference to sports the youth
will have adequate facility to invest their energies.
Employment generation The project will provide employment to both skilled
(direct & indirect) and unskilled labor during execution, maintenance
and operation process.
Environment impact The project is environmental friendly and there will
be no adverse environmental effects with the
implementation of the project. Infact it will improve
the environmental standards of this area.
Implementation schedule The project shall be completed in 09 months
Management structure and The Project shall be executed by LDA along with
manpower requirements design and resident supervision by the consultant
including specialized skills and will be executed through approved contractor
during construction of and
operational phases.
