2-Longitudinally system of construction


This system is a series of closely spaced longitudinal stiffeners. This system comprising
longitudinal , floors and widely deep transverse frames. This system saving weight, give
adequate longitudinal strength. This system is applied for long ships where, acting bending
moment is dominant loading. It is not applied for G. Cargo ships.

stiffened, while sides are transv. Stiffened.
