Market Systems

There are positive and negative aspects to the each of the different market systems we have
discussed (free, traditional, mixed, and command). For this assignment you are to explain which
economic system you would want to live in and defend your reasoning. You must explain two
reasons why the system you chose is best. You must also describe one common argument used
against the system you chose and defend against that argument. Use the graphic organizer we
completed, the notes you took on the positives and negatives of each, and any other information
you can find as evidence. Be sure to look at the rubric and carefully follow the directions
below. NO PLAGIARISM!!!!

!Paragraph 1: In the introduction you must briefly describe the purpose of an economic system. You must
also state which economic system you think is best and will be discussing in the paper (thesis statement).
!Paragraph 2: In this paragraph you must briefly describe the basic characteristics of the economic system
you have chosen.
!Paragraph 3: In this paragraph you are to describe one reason why this economic system is best. Be sure
to be detailed in your explanation of why you think this reason is important! Use specific examples.
