To Whom It May Concern,

I am a recent graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a degree in
Mathematics and Economics. I am looking for an entry level position in data analysis and public
relations within the context of marketing and business development. My goal is to gain practical
experience in mathematics and launch a career in data science.

I am interested in working in optimization, applying my skills in funds and data analysis to

enhance business models. Studying mathematics, I have learned to turn large, complex problems
into a series of small, manageable tasks, which I believe would make me an excellent candidate
for a data-driven marketing firm.

I love working with people. I feel energized in fast paced, dynamic environments and consider
myself a strategic thinker. My past experiences in media and journalism were rewarding because
I could juggle multiple projects at once and continuously learn through interacting with different
personalities. One of my favorite jobs so far has been in event coverage at the UCLA business
school, which was both critically and socially engaging. I would like to explore further
opportunities in marketing to engage my training in mathematics through data analytics and
business strategy.

Lastly, my diverse interests, beyond the scope of jobs and academics, speak to my creativity and
work ethic. In particular, I appreciate a challenge. I am a serious classical pianist and my reading
includes Russian literature and existentialist philosophy in French. My hobbies also include
cooking, dancing, travel, and fashion. My many interests and willingness to take on challenges
makes me an open minded, creative, and rigorous thinker.

Thank you for your consideration.
