While searching for tutoring opportunities through the ASU Student Employment Center
on October 12, 2017, I was intrigued as this opportunity. Tutoring is something I am passionate
about and especially being able to help those with disabilities learn social and life skills. I am a
student as ASU studying Organizational Leadership which in turn leads me to be able to work in
areas of nonprofit. I tutored children with disabilities in the past with school assignments as well
as babysitting them for four years. I have found much interest in this because all I want to do is
better assimilate them to everyday life. My goals in life are to do everything possible to help
anyone I can and I feel as though through this position I am accomplishing this goal of mine. I
fall in line when it comes to all the qualifications posted. I am over the age of 18 and I have
experience working with children with disabilities.
I possess skills such as patience which is a virtue when it comes to this area of
opportunity. When working with those who take much greater involvement it is key to be
patient. Not only do I have patience but I work extremely hard and do not stop at any matter. I
find it something that many appreciate me for and I tend to advance in my pursuits with this
skill. In this job it would be extremely important to me to succeed. I would be a perfect fit
because I can easily work with these children. Not only do I have such skills but I am passionate
about this type of work. I think teaching those who are unable to succeed in learning these skills
themselves is so necessary to the world. As an Organizational Leadership major my education is
preparing me for this type of work through each and every course. Even without this major, my
four years of high school, I worked with students with disabilities teaching them educational
skills. I succeeded in creating a comfortable environment for these children. I will help this
organization by attending to each and every student that is placed under my care.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Fuchs
