Candace Conley
Kunstwarenhaus GmbH
Neumarkt 6
8001 Zrich

Dear Ms. Conley:

Please find enclosed my CV for your consideration for the part-time position currently offered at
Kunstwarenhaus. I am a multi-faceted and dynamic student living in Zrich, possessing interests
and qualifications that would make me an excellent candidate for this role.

The natures of my work and studies have prepared me for this position as they have necessitated
working efficiently and effectively under pressure, creative thinking, a solution-oriented outlook,
and clear communication. I have innate, highly intuitive interpersonal skills, interacting in a
professional setting with ease, deference, and charisma. I am proactive, inherently curious, and
eager to learn, and am able to adopt new skills and retain new information with unusual speed. I
am also detail-oriented and highly observant, traits that are put to use in my editing work,
wherein I employ my language skills and deep understanding of linguistic nuance to provide
work that is both tailored to the client and accurate in its meaning. I work well both
independently and in a team, and I thrive on intellectual and creative challenge. As I grew up in
an international environment and have an education in Cultural Studies, I have a high degree of
cultural awareness and am very comfortable interacting with people of varied backgrounds. As
evidenced by my attached CV, and of particular relevance to your vacancy, I recently worked as
a Hostess at Art Basel, during which time I fulfilled many roles in quick succession as an All-
rounder, performing my duties with professionalism and positivity despite the high-pressure
environment. This position required keen time management skills, willingness to take on ad hoc
responsibilities, ability to interact comfortably with people of different backgrounds, and a
polished yet friendly demeanor.

Indeed, my CV shows that my path has been somewhat nonlinear, but I feel that my broad range
of experiences has been enlightening and formative, and is evidence of my capacity to be
versatile. After several years of utilizing my skills in other contexts, I came to the realization
that I would be happy only if I were to pursue my passion: a love for the arts that has existed
since early childhood. Making the decision to complete my Bachelors degree in Art History has
given me great fulfillment, and I feel it proves my perseverance and determination to pursue my
passion.
In short, I feel that, with my professional and interpersonal skills, I could contribute positively to
the operations of Kunstwarenhaus in whichever way is needed by providing work with precision
and panache, and by becoming a supportive member of the team.

Thank you for taking the time to review my application. Please feel free to contact me directly if
you have any questions.

Yours sincerely,

Sarah Robins
