How to get a new id file.

Steps to follow to get the id file:
1) Login in to ultimatix :https://www.ultimatix.net

Select Helpdesk Get Notes id file

2) Provide the details as mentioned in the details :

3) The id file will comes to the web mail after 30 minutes.

4 ) Save the id file in your local pc.

How to Configure my Lotus Notes?

Following are the steps to configure your Lotus Notes :

1) Go start-> run->type notes or Double click on the Lotus Notes

2) Click Next in the IBM Lotus notes 8 Client configuration

3) Enter Employee id and mail server name and then press Next

4) Browse to the Location where you have stored your ID File :

Map the ID file which one is attached in your ticket. Save that id file in your desktop and map .

6 ) Press Next and then in that pop up press YES

7) Enter the password is given in ticket. Mostly the default password is c@r33r is the default
password

8) For IM 8 configuration.

If the setup instant messaging is checked provide the server name as im.tcs.com

9) Uncheck all the check boxes and click Next

10) Click OK

11) To open mail box

11 ) On the Right Bottom Corner of the Window Click on "Online" an then select "Edit Current" in the
drop up

12)In the "Basics" tab, select LAN, Enter Your Name and Your Email Address (as shown)

13) In the "Servers" tab enter the Mail Server Name (InChnM07/TCS) and the Messaging Server Name
(im.tcs.com)

14) In the "Ports" tab select both TCPIP & LAN0

15 )In the "Mail" tab make changes as shown below

14)Select the option for Internet Browser :

15) Select Replication Tab :

16) Check the Instant Messaging tab :

17) In the "Advanced" tab make the following changes. User ID to Switch: It is the location where your
ID file is located

18 ) On the left tab, open Workspace as shown below:

19)Go to View and enable Advanced Menus

20) Right Click on the "Server Copy (Hasan M on InChnM07)"Select Replication click on New
Replica from the drop down

21) Click OK

22) Wait till the replication is complete: Dont disturb while the replication is in progress

23) Click on the Local to access Mails.

Archive settings

1) Select Actions from the menu bar after that Archive from the drop down and Settings from the
drop down

2) In the Basic tab Select Notes Client based to LOCAL

3) Select Criteria & click on Edit

4) Enable the options as mentioned below.

Note: Change the name while creating the next archives

5) Select Advanced tab and enable as showed below.

6) In Schedule Tab disable the schedule ( to avoid mail missing issue in future )

7) Then click OK

8) Now the Archive data base has been created.

9) Now select the mail need to archive and follow the steps mentioned below.

10) After selecting the archive selected documents select the archive db and give ok

11) Please wait till the mails get archived.

12) Now your lotus Notes setup was finished with Archive.
