I. COURSE TITLE: COMPUTER SCIENCE 2 (Web Development 1)

CREDIT: 1 unit
TIME ALLOTMENT: 3 hours per week

II. COURSE DESCRIPTION:


This course will introduce beginners to the art of creating interesting, intelligent, usable and well
designed Webpage. This course will also cover the mechanics of uploading and linking of pages to other
interesting sites on the World Wide Web.
III. COURSE OBJECTIVES:
Students will be able to
· Understand the history and implications of the Internet
· Be able to create pages using HTML
· Know the aesthetics of web design, interface design, user friendly features, and navigation strategies.
· Be able to upload and download from Internet
· Be introduced to dynamic web features such as sound, video, interactive features, forms and animation.

FIRST QUARTER
UNDERSTANDING THE INTERNET AND ITS SERVICES

Ø Learn about the Internet and its services.
Ø Learn how to use the World Wide Web for research
